DRIVING WITH TINTED LENSES
There are certain standards in the optical industry that determine whether glasses can be recommend as driving glasses. Since Avulux is a precision-tinted lens which filters up to 97% of light at certain points on the visible spectrum, Avulux falls outside the driving lens classification.

Avulux lenses are available both with prescription (Rx) or without – non-prescription (Plano) in any frames you select. Or, they are also available as a FIT OVER DESIGN. A fit over is a set of frames that can be worn over existing prescription glasses. It’s normally a universal fit and fit overs have above brow and peripheral protection built-in.

PRESCRIPTION AVULUX LENSES
Rx lenses (for patients requiring vision correction) make the most sense in the following cases:

* For patients with continuous light sensitivity
* For patients with more than 8 migraine days per month (or over 15 headache days per month), to proactively filter painful light
